The ‘UEFA campus’ in nyon contains the sporting organization’s new administrative headquarters. comprised of two office structures with opposite yet complimenting forms, the squared-off footprint of the ‘bois bougy’ and circular ‘clairière’ buildings are embraced with a wooded parkland setting. Creating a relationship of mutual respect within sports, social or economic matters is of high importance to the association and environmental awareness is included with this architectural venture.
Rings of glass windows are separated with deep concrete eaves, welcoming views of the trees inside while adjusting the penetration of daylight. Also continued on the inside face to border a large courtyard which is open to the sky. The visually dominant horizontal striations continue as a motif across the pair of buildings. A magnetic heat pump doubles the efficiency used with heating production.
Additional sustainability considerations include planting of native species present within the vegetation and patio to allow employees to enjoy the scenery.
